This page has been set up to give you a little insight into the person / people who you will be trusting to provide entertainment on your special day.
My name is David and I am the owner of 1st choice Bouncy Castle Hire along with my wife and business partner Leanne, the most important person within this company goes by the name of James he may only be 2 years old but he has no problem bossing me and his mommy around and testing all of our new inflatables. Obviously this is just a little joke James is our son and the most important person in our lives.
The Begging... I started 1st Choice Castles in 2014 at the age of 28 at the time I was working for Royal Mail as a postman, I loved my job but grew a little tired of getting chased by dogs. In all seriousness I would still be a postman today but sadly they could only offer me part time work of 25 hours a week, because of this I found myself trying to supplement my income with other jobs such as gardening and gym instructor to cover my part time wage.
At the time I would of given anything for Royal Mail to offer me a full time job, but later I realised this was a blessing in disguise and would ultimately give me the push I needed. On a lovely summer's day on 19th may 2014 me and my girlfriend were celebrating our birthdays ( yes ) can you believe it we both share the same birthday, so what better way to celebrate then a garden party with family, friends, BBQ, cake and a bouncy castle.
Cut a long story short everything went great apart from the service we received from the bouncy castle hire company. After being supplied a dirty bouncy castle and spoken to like dirt in front of my family and friends I sat down that night with Leanne still a little drunk and said I would love a bouncy castle hire business and would offer a much better service than we received tonight.
This was my light bulb moment and a few days later I managed to persuade my Leanne into using some of our savings to buy 3 new bouncy castles, I would work Monday - Friday at royal mail and spend the weekends advertising my new business venture and delivering bouncy castles.
At times it wasn't easy as with any new business it takes time to find work and even longer to start making a profit, but I stuck with it for 2 long years and during this time any money I made I would use to buy new equipment and expand my dream.
The Middle... in 2016 after 2 years of giving up all my weekends and using any money I made for new equipment I had grown the business from delivering bouncy castles in the boot of my car to owning my own van with over 10 inflatables. So in 2016 with very shaky hands i handed in my notice at royal mail and decided now was the perfect time to commit fully to my business.
18 months after making that scary decision to quit my job back in 2016 a lot of good things have happened for us, the business has pretty much tripled in size, I got married to my lovely wife / best mate / pain in the bum ( don't tell her about the last one ) but above all this the best thing to happen was to become a very proud father to my wonderful son James.
We are very thankful to all our customers because without you guys we wouldn't be here, this appreciation shows in our customer service we strive not just to please our customers we aim to amaze them.
We provide some amazing equipment covering Walsall, Wolverhampton, Birmingham, Lichfield, Dudley, Cannock, Sutton Coldfield and surrounding areas.
